Well, yet again, I've slacked on my blogging skills. I suppose that is what happens when one home-schools, goes to school herself, and occasionally has to play Mommy and Daddy. I don't remember where I left off in my last blog, so I'll just start fresh...
I'm one week away from completing my associates degree - FINALLY! Talk about long overdue. What was I thinking when I stopped going to school? Word of advice, DON'T STOP!!
Nate got home in November was home for a couple of months then left for training for two and a half months, then he was home but left again, now he is home but doing training so we only see each other at night (if we are lucky) and soon he will be heading to Nevada for more training, followed by pre-deployment leave (yay finally some time together) but that means the deployment is after leave. Did you keep up? Because I sure didn't... Geez that's a lot of coming and going! Anyway, this is the big #3. I guess in a way Nate and I are numb to the separation since this is all our relationship has ever known. For nearly six years we've never spent a full year together; most people in this type of relationship at least get that at some point. I just keep reminding myself it's all so worth it because I truly am married to Prince Charming.
My in-laws just left on Wednesday from spending a week here. It was great! Yet another thing I'm so fortunate with, AMAZING in-laws. We had a good time, they were able to be apart of family day with Nate's unit, they got to meet some of our dearest friends, and they got to experience the ridiculous dry heat the desert has to offer. Haha. I'm excited to go see them again in a few months.
G-man starts school up again soon. I cannot believe he is a 3rd grader now! Where has that time gone!? He will also be starting tackle football this year too (by Texas standards we are SO far behind) and he will be playing soccer at the same time. YIKES!
That's a wrap for now but I'm going to start blogging more again since D-Day is fast approaching again. I'm starting insanity too so the blogging will help with my progress.
